Solid Energy's pump is the heart of Slagelse CHP

The construction of Slagelse CHP marks the beginning of a new era for the city, where dirty waste incineration is replaced by clean and renewable energy sources. And in the center of the plant's production sits a heat pump from Solid Energy.

Waste incineration has traditionally been the quick-and-dirty solution to waste disposal and heat generation, but today meeting climate and environmental targets requires completely different solutions. Therefore, the city is now moving in a completely different direction with a solution based on renewable energy and efficient operation based on heat pumps from Solid Energy.

The project at Slagelse marks a decisive step towards district heating production based solely on renewable energy. The cooperation between Envafors, Aalborg CSP and Solid Energy is an important step along the way.

Geothermal breakthrough in Aarhus: District heat now flows from the earth's interior

In Aarhus, one of Europe's most visionary district heating projects is now in operation. For the first time, geothermal heat from a depth of 2,500 metres flows directly into the radiators of thousands of Aarhus homes — and this is done with the help of heat pumps from Solid Energy. ‍

Power-to-X production heats the living rooms in Aabenraa

A massive investment is being made to make the transport, industrial and energy sectors as CO₂ neutral as possible. In that conversion, green methanol, or e-methanol, is intended to play a significant and prominent role. E-methanol is produced in Power-to-X (PTx) plants, and the heat from the process is harnessed by Solid Energy's heat pumps to produce district heat.
