Solid Energy Launches High Temperature Heat Pump at 165°C

Solid Energy is now presenting a new high-temperature heat pump that can deliver flow temperatures up to 165°C. The solution has been developed for large energy projects and builds on our many years of experience with reliable heat pumps for the district heating sector.

The new heat pump uses natural hydrocarbon refrigerants and shares key components with Solid Energy's proven low-temperature pumps. Each module is designed for 100,000 hours of operation, requiresminimal maintenance and no oil changes.

The modules are fully factory tested, reducing on-site installation work. With integrated leak detection and ATEX-approved ventilation, they meet current European safety requirements. Capacity ranges from 250 kW to 1 MWper module — and modules can be combined for multi-MW projects.

At the same time, the XL4 design is introduced, in which each unit contains four compressors. It provides high power in limited space and is ideal for data centers and wastewater plants, among others — but can also be used as an air-water heat pump.
