Advantages of commercial heat pumps
Lower operating costs
A heat pump draws energy from the environment — typically from air, soil, or water. The system thus uses substantially less electricity than the amount of heat it produces, resulting in lower operating costs compared to oil and gas boilers.
Operational economics
With a commercial heat pump, you get predictable energy costs. You pay for the electricity that powers the system, while the majority of the heat is drawn from the surroundings. This makes your business less vulnerable to fluctuating energy prices.
Sustainability
Our heat pumps use natural refrigerants, which have a significantly lower climate impact than traditional synthetic refrigerants. Combined with renewable energy sources, the system contributes directly to your company's climate goals.
Solutions
AWB — air/water brine
Designed for flexible installation and district heating with low complexity. With brine coolers for simple and straight forward installation and the possibility of installing local plumbing, AWB provides maximum freedom in project design and plant operation.
AWD — Air/Water Direct
Designed for optimum efficiency and efficient district heating. Direct evaporation of refrigerant ensures high efficiency and low energy loss — perfect for modern district heating projects.
LWB — water/water
Designed for all temperature levels and easy integration. A versatile solution for both water and brine, adapted to the project and installed by your local professionals.
LWC — combi
Designed for year-round operation with heating, cooling and recycling. One plant, three functions: winter heating, summer cooling and heat recovery in the spring and autumn seasons — intelligent and sustainable.
ALW - combi
Designed for comfort and capacity all year round. A combined heating and cooling solution that balances energy and comfort throughout all seasons.
Before you invest
Before investing in a commercial heat pump, it is important to know your company's heating requirements. The building's insulation, the existing heating system, and the total consumption all influence which solution makes the most sense.
Heat pumps work best with low-temperature systems such as underfloor heating or large radiators. If the building has older radiators, upgrades may be necessary to get the full benefit of the system.
The location of the outdoor unit also plays a role. There must be sufficient air circulation, but since our heat pumps are designed for quiet operation, they can be placed close to buildings without disturbing the surroundings.

Service and maintenance
Heat pumps for commercial use are reliable systems with low maintenance requirements. Solid Energy offers service and maintenance contracts that typically run for five years.
The agreements include regular inspections and rapid support in the event of operational disruptions, ensuring stable and reliable operation.

Points of strength
An investment in the future
Energy efficiency requirements for commercial buildings are becoming increasingly stringent, and customers and partners are increasingly expecting sustainable solutions. A commercial heat pump reduces operating costs and makes it possible to meet both of these expectations.
Combined with renewable energy sources, the system can provide almost CO₂-neutral heating.

Cases

Green heat in Karup: When a heat pump does more than just heat
With Solid Energy's heat pump, Karup Varmeværk has built a unique plant that supplies 75% of heat from green energy sources, secures the supply and makes it possible to adjust the production of heat in relation to energy prices. During the months when the local potato flour factory is in production the heat pump uses waste heat and provides the factory with chilled water.
